Well, I have to disagree again, sort of. The last 10 sales with highest prices for 355s on BAT are below:

    Image Unavailable, Please Login

Of the lowest priced sales a B is 4th from the bottom at 50k. The lowest is a spider at 45k.

But you are correct, spiders are prettier with the top down. But then again, the only reason for top on a spider is if you get caught out in the rain. No spider owner takes his car out to drive with the top up, Ferrari or otherwise. :)

Funny how that list of sales has no GTS on it. The rarest of them all! haha

I know there is always some outside std deviation, think bell curve though. When browsing BAT like this, "inside the bell curve" ... its not amazing.

Really nice Berlinettas like Robs may continue to fetch huge premiums we'll see. Just not sure how that will translate to more common spec'd cars. Markets are funny so who knows. Certainly interesting

I think sensationalism of Youtuber and social media has contributed to the fear of owning a 355, hence directly affected the 355 market. Misinformation and exaggerated facts created like a spiral effect. Personally, I don't think 355 is any more costlier to maintain than any Ferrari mid-engine models precedes it. (F1 tranny asides) But anyway, I am still looking to replace mine F1 with a 6 Speed. Hopefully this will keep the price in check for a little bit.. (I am sorry to be a little bit selfish here...)

Not a terrible review but, as opinionated as Sheehan is about the 355's Spider top, he clearly does not know how it operates.

Would be nice for auto-journalists to give actual facts and comparisons. Stating something is expensive with no context of relativity is quite meaningless. Maybe its a far stretch to ask for a complete list of maintenance costs for every sport vehicle produced to chart the actual expensiveness.

Similar to this GPU benchmark: https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html

Then again, any hobby worth pursuing fully is expensive. Don't understand the captain obviousness.

I'd prefer if they mentioned no figures at all as they will find the worst case and present it as normal. I have seen major receipts of 17K but that was a bunch of stuff done at major time unrelated to the major but people still hold it up as the major cost. Like 355 major but oops I need new top end on both banks and 2 pistons, then use that as a major cost.

These cars are so undervalued in my opinion. They'll start moving up soon I'd bet.

I just drove a 993 RS for a whole day and the car costs almost 4 times as much as a 355...yet the 355 is a much more entertaining and fun drive.

The RS is quite rare (1100ish made?) but if comparing to Berlinetta's only...it's not that much rarer. About the same as the F1 Berlinetta production, F1 GTS's being half. And to top it off...the service history records on the car looks no cheaper than a comparable 355.

If you look at the Carfax they had the same car back when it had those miles in 2017, I guess they didn't want to take new photos- I remember the listing I think someone on here bot it.

Correct that’s what they told me.
Given the BAT car I’m not sure how much this one should go for -95?

Not sure but this one appears to be in much better shape- just the miles.

I don’t see any red/tan F355 6spd GTBs for sale right now and only 2 6spd GTS’s for sale (1 on fchat). Amazing.

My gated GTS with now 37k miles was just appraised at 95k for insurance. I'm pretty happy about that.

    Awesome. I know you’ve been looking for a while. You found a red/tan 6spd or GTS 6spd?

We all know there are many factors at play with these cars. Last major, valve guides, headers, stickies, etc etc so depending on that info it could be a good deal especially if it’s red/tan.
