^ “an original cut”?
The car on the trailer looks odd. It looks to have steel inner wings but no support brace showing as per the origional, plus it should have a steel rear bulk head, and,it does not even have one at all, looking at the photo! I would say its an unfinished conversion.
17041 is a real genuine un-cut car. Not a conversion. As there was no photo caption for the pic I did ask if it was a real car. Sheehan is more known for tons of cut Daytona Spiders, rather than a real one. That's why I asked. Marcel Massini
Thanks for the link, I can now see from the other photos the brace on the front inner wings. The add says:- The body of 365 GTS/4 s/n 17041 is in superb condition, with absolutely no signs of any body repairs to any of the front, rear and inner body structure ! So what happened the the steel rear bulkhead that is missing in the photos? Plus it looks like the steel rear wheel wells are missing as well!
Grant, I wouldn’t worry over that stuff too much, especially since the car appears to have been sold already and perhaps it’s now up to the new owner to get it sorted.
A Rosso Chiaro (most likely) Daytona from a private collector in Berlin. Kind guy with great cars. What I haven't seen anywhere else is a signature from Luca di Montozemolo, who is a retired Ferrari Boss. The current owner is the second owner and the car had just over 58.000km covered when I spotted it. First Daytona I've ever seen as there's a very little amount of them in Berlin. Beautiful car, beautiful sound and just road presence. Hey Timo, 2 things where did you get the velocity stack screens? And did you have to rejet The carbs after eliminating the front mufflers? I am ready for an exhaust system , just tired of replacing the steel mufflers and rear pipes, had been putting off going the stainless route due to the changed exhaust note, i like mine loud.... what You did here eliminating the front mufflers maybe just what i need to do...did you make up the pipes?
