Hi guys, A few owners have done Mase Tunes in their 458s but not many F12’s. So I figured I should share my experience. Image Unavailable, Please Login Steve (the tuner) was in a weekend racing event when I requested my tune. However he still managed to write me a tune after I send him my stock ecu info. Kudos to his customer service! The tune is supposed to add 50HP and 30 TQ, I thought it wouldn’t be much of a difference at first, boy was I wrong. I did a test drive right after I installed it. What a difference! The throttle response improved by a huge amount and the transmission is way smarter now, it kicks down faster (and to lower gears) in response to throttle inputs and I think I can feel the additional HP and TQ. I really recommend you guys to give Steve Mason at Mase Engineering a chance, that was the best mod I’ve better put on my F12. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Did you get any discount off the product? Do they have diff tunes for diff exhausts? I still can't find any intake or headers for the FF
Didn’t get a discount, I believe the tune is based on the ecu file you sent to Steve, so it could be tuned for different exhaust. I’m not entirely sure tho. For the exhaust setup in FF/F12, headers won’t be necessary, you should probably look for high flow cats/decats for the best gain in exhaust volume. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
The FF comes with good headers, so nothing to gain there really. You could perhaps opt for Lusso headers if they fit, but the gain will be small. As far as intake manifolds go, forget it. That is probably the thing Ferrari does better than anyone on the planet. This might sound a bit exaggerated, but it is the truth. This is the area in which they excel and set the standard. When it comes to engine design, Ferrari intakes are what they do best. You can install a BMC air filter for some flow though. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app

About 2k, I opted to have the handheld flash tool. If you want to mail in your ECUs it’s 1750. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Another happy customer here. I have the Kline decat down pipes with X pipe and Steve sent me a tuned file accordingly. What a difference! My F12 can go sideways on second gear! I will do dyno session this Sunday and will post the result.
Just read your thread on the F12. Stunning spec and mods man! I also have forza componenti controller in my car which does a great job muffling the sound of my IPE cat-bypass loudness lol. I haven’t added an x pipe yet, wonder if you can share some exhaust videos so I can compare Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
What else can be modified by the ECU flash unit? Is it only air/fuel timing and voltage levels on throttle position?
I'm not sure how that chart was generated, but it's not raw data. Would be interesting to see some before/after pulls on a dyno from the same car/day/weather.
Unfortunately I'm not knowledgeable enough to answer those questions, maybe you guys can shoot him a DM? I believe he has an account here.
Well since Rick vouched, I'm very interested in well but I'd like to know more of what it does to the car
I'm curious as to how there is this much power left on the table from Ferrari. This is only a tune? No headers or exhaust?
I know ECU tuns across many cars improve power across the band, my IS-F / RC-F is no different - they are all naturally aspirated It's those turbos where you can gain tons and tons of more power - but IMO at the expense of reliability
mase will optimize for aftermarket headers/cats/exhaust. my the 360 we went from capristo 3 muffler to cap 3 muffler, TS headers, TS 200 cell cats and then the mase ecu. im going to send my ff ecu to him as right now im running the novitec ecu.
@ttforcefed So did you do the Mase tune for your FF? If so, did you notice the difference vs the Novitec tune?
