F8 Ferrari Sound

My experience - back to back to back, the 488 clear winner in all sound categories.

 

The 488 sounds better , that said I’m replacing my 488 S with an F8 S. I just fell n love with the new design and more HP. Best ,Kirk.

Just get a Novitec exhaust if you're concerned.

 

As far as sound goes, I'd surmise that the F8 might sound better in cabin due to the hot tube piping in some engine sounds, but the 488 sound better for bystanders/outside due to no GPFs. I love the 488 sound, especially at lower revs in race mode and up

 

Subjective, you need to hear both yourself.

 

Get whatever car you like better. Sound on both can be improved with Novitec, etc. Here is a members F8 with just the Novitec race exhaust and OEM cats.

My dealer is OK with exhaust mods including replacing the muffler (which includes the GPFs) as long as you retain the OEM cats. - full warranty.

I think the “how does a Ferrari sound” are the same as the cake threads on Rennlist. There aren’t enough of them.

Black F8 went by tonight here. I have to say, it certainly looked the business. Rear starting to grow on me.
No real sound as it went by, but clearly wasn’t trying.
First one I have seen in black.

 

I’ve got about 1000 miles on my F8 and I’m actually fine with the sound, but I’m not a sound nazi either. The sound inside the cabin is is mix of exhaust noise, turbo spool up & whistle, and waste gate dumping. I actually love the mechanical sounds inside the cabin. It’s an easy mod to do the Novitec X pipe (race exhaust) with the plug in module, and then sound outside is pretty good for a turbo car and you eliminate the factory muffler and GPFs.

 

Would have been nice to hear the exhaust note and not the world's worst music.

Just once. It was the night before I was invited to a “listen to how the 458 sounds party” the next day. Needed my rest.

 

Myself, I'd actually be interested to see the results of a poll on Rennlist regarding how many Porsche owners also either own and/or have invested in a Vegan Cupcake business.
