    Btw. It’s been several years since I replace my oil cooler, but the price seemed high.

    Since it’s filled with oil, I’m curious what causes it to fail. I’m on my original but did have to replace fittings that leaked.

    Good question, it’s not anywhere near mounting or anywhere it can rub. Mine started with cold weather start, fist time in 3weeks or so starting, and had an oil slick under the car! Mobil 1 20w50 motorcycle oil.

    I suspect corrosion. Acid or water.
