I have a Cali T in that's experiencing some starting issues. Did a search but didn't find anything on the subject.

Basically you push the start button and nothing happens. On about the 3rd push it starts right up. Replaced older battery with a new one just in case but it's still happening.

Has anyone else experienced this? The lights do NOT dim or anything like that on start up attempt so I don't think its a starter issue. Car drives just fine after.

Bad starter button, maybe? Not sure how accessible it is, but checking the connections, cleaning the contacts, etc., might help.

Alex...Also, make sure your foot is mashed down on the brake.
I remember reading of people having starting issues in this fashion (sensor issue, as I vaguely recall), although I think Vic's suggestion is likely the better one...T

I had the problem with the brake safety switch. I just make sure there is more pressure on the pedal before punching the button.

As others have offered... most commonly its the brake pedal switch, though I have seen a few starter buttons fail over the years
