Hope Russell will race for Mercedes in Abu Dhabi.
Perhaps Bottas and Mercedes will find a way to restore Hamilton’s legacy ?

Impossible. Hamilton is sealed in the history books. Russell's performance only uplifted his future legacy. I must warn you that Russell entered F1 in the hybrid era. Different than the cars Hamilton first won in. Fchat belief is that hybrid drivers are not worthy as the cars drive themselves, so you may get attacked

Sorry Russell but you lost and you cannot state it was your win. It was not and Checo drove to win and your team, including you lost. Period. Needless statement and devalues the effort of others who did win. Learn quickly to say less and move on. Just a hint of entitlement in this statement. Not good. Ironic a Williams set all this in motion.

--And while Russell said that a victory was long overdue for Perez’s CV, he thinks it shouldn’t have been the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix.

“I just want to say well done to Sergio, he’s a great driver, he’s been in F1 for a huge amount of time and he deserves a victory on his scoresheet,” said the Briton.

“Maybe not the one from today, I feel like that was probably our one, but he deserves to have this victory and he’s never really had the car underneath him, but this car he’s got this year is great and I’m happy he’s got this chance.”--

To Vettel’s credit, his criticism of Leclerc’s dive down the inside at last week’s race should have have been heeded by Charles this week.

In Charle’s defence—who really had nothing to lose as he was expecting a hard race and falling back down the order—if he had planned his move expecting Perez to stay on the outside of Bottas, when Perez cut back in for a normal line, he ran out of moved and locked up trying to avoid contact and that was that.

For sure Max was unlucky and collateral damage but he shouldn’t get so upset if he thinks back to all the many times he speared other innocent drivers, especially Ferrari drivers.

Extremely gutted for George! Pretty much had the win in the bag until the very suspicious pitstops.

Toto should call Elton, wish him a speedy recovery and tell him to not bother coming back.

He would have won if it wasn’t for the last one with the flat. He was a few secs away and in second. Just wasn’t his day

Yep. First Ocon and now Perez.

Love what Lawrence has done with the team financially but keeping Lance on the team is.........a head scratcher.

That's what I thought too but all the official websites say 14 days. Also 10 day minimum = Thursday at the earliest.

Here is video around 9min 50s Ted talks about the email and mentions "attendees" not allowed.

Max took himself out Bas, swerved around Perez and Chuck, got on the gravel/sand and game over

Perez really was the driver of the day after that shunt put him at the back of the pack ... never really rated him before but he did very well :)

Why is it a head scratcher? Lawrence only bought the team so his son could have a race seat...it's the team's entire raison d'etre...

His son doesn't bring in points like Ocon and Perez at the end of the season which are millions in the WCC rankings.

I guess when you got billions......what's a couple of millions.

au contraire...had to avoid Perez/Leclerc shenanigans, wasn't anywhere to go! Unlucky to be in the position he was in. Avoided trouble but was forced on the kitty litter that landed him in the wall.
