Very cool photos thank you for sharing. I love how in the spray booth the guys don't even have a dust mask on let alone a respirator or clean suit.
Poor guys.. I was puzzled by the radio. I thought they did not deliver with a radio mounted from factory. But perhaps a special order. /Peter
It could be that there was only a radio in a certain models - is the interior from a Mondial ? 1983 could coincide with the Pioneer deal which seemed to be especially used in the Boxer family if I recall correctly
If you're selling one of these and a buyer is all hung up about consistent paint meter readings, just send them the third picture.
Nice to see that the guys with far and away the most hair are working the paint line (without hair nets mind you)
It's a Mondial QV. The no radio thing may have been US market only. Other markets may have gotten a radio?
The 512BBi was delivered with a Pioneer radio from factory in the years from 1981 to 1984. That said, the interior picture showing a center console with a preinstalled pioneer radio is from a Mondial as mentioned. Interesting, must be a special order. Best, Peter
The first picture - he's sitting on a Mondial, but that car behind him - isn't that a GTB with red A pillar? So '84/'85? Perhaps these pictures span a few years.
The third picture shown explains why there's a lot of over spray in these cars! LOL.. Was there a tape and paper shortage when our cars were being painted! :O)
Not sure when it started, but my 85 has a nice undercoating. Not a dealer add on. I think it may be dinitrol?
