Exactly. I’ve had 4 Ferraris (currently have a Pista) and 3 mclarens and my 765lt just went into production. I’m a huge fan of all supercars and each brand has it strengths and weaknesses. Ferrari is an awesome brand, their cars are amazing and you can’t argue with the history and prestige. With that being said the Mclaren 720s has the performance that is out of this world. Like SoCal said the carbon tub and spoiler are worth the price of admission alone. We are lucky to have such amazing cars to own and marvel at.

If you look at his posts he dislikes the brand. I think he is a Porsche guy and not sure if he actually owns any cars. Just likes to comments. Could be wrong but that’s my take.

So the dislike for the brand is based on personal experience or cause the Motor Trend car posters dont look good hung up in the living room?

lol. Good question for him. I think a lot of people jump on the bandwagon of disliking the brand without every driving the car or actual owning a supercar. Hard to dislike the brand when you’ve actually driven and owned one.

There is so much disparagement of brands by people who have never owned, driven, or seen them. Unless they’re plants, why would someone have a bone to pick with a specific brand?

I don’t get it. Does it make an insecure person feel important?

P.S. the above poster beat me to it.....but my thoughts exactly.

agreed but it depends on which specific model they have. Too wide of spectrum even within one brand. I will not be happy if wife brings home a surprise of Roma. No.

I wouldn’t mind a 720 but I am scared to death of all the maintenance and reliability issues I constantly read on Mclaren Life. I wouldn’t buy one without a warranty I know that.

aren't you from Asia? why uk listing?

do you have any links from your country? I am interested to know what price they are commanding in other countries. We know Australia's price is pathetically crazy. A toyota yaris GR is 45k.

I can’t wait. Mine went Into production last week and completion is still in pace for 1/19. Have a little while longer to enjoy my Pista unless I break down and keep both.

You didn't post your ownership horizon. Sounds like you may be a flipper? In the end both are used production cars as soon as you drive them home. The Pista will always bring more due to the hoopla in getting one when they came out despite the relatively large number produced. The F8 has the reputation of being a fill-in car for the replacement. If you plan to keep then just buy the one that speaks to you. Both great cars of course. Drive both and decide has always been good advice.

I admire their performance and respect their place in the market. I just couldn't own one. Can't get past the looks and I have also voiced concern with published raliability/durability. Interiors also suffer quite a bit.

Next summer any Ferrari owners who need converted in western PA/Eastern OH are welcome to check out my 765. A Pista won’t know which way it went.

I don’t have it yet, but (A) DEFINITELY won’t happen, I luckily live 20 minutes from a nice race track too. And (B) I really hope doesn’t happen very often!

in what circumstance do you think it'll have a big lead on the Pista which is already crazy/too fast imo

in at least one occasion the 765 was slower on track than the 720!

looking forward to seeing more laptimes from it nevertheless

intresting, I wonder if they are making more power than stated? the weight difference between the 720 and 765 is very small
