See what I mean about the "orange look at me colour scheme" The owner almost has the BTC number plates to go with the colour scheme Not sure if the owner was inspired by the Italian Job lambo colour scheme but it looked more like the Granville spec colour scheme Image Unavailable, Please Login

Pista Piloti unveiled in Perth And, congrats to the powers that be, on Historic Reg! Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's kind of interesting, a new car on historic registration. I'm guessing the Pista Piloti doesn't qualify for normal road registration but they've done a deal such that it can be driven at car club events. That's a remarkable change of attitude compared to my youth in Perth, where any modifications to cars were forbidden and ruthlessly policed
Yes Ian, We have some good rules - ‘Unique’ or ‘Historic’ Vehicles under 25 years old. Under exceptional circumstances, vehicles which are less than 25 years old that conform to the following two categories can be assessed for the purposes of eligibility to apply for a 404 concession, based on the individual characteristics of the vehicle. Category 1 – Unique vehicle • A vehicle of limited production or limited availability in Australia, or a vehicle which is sufficiently unusual to warrant collection. Category 2 – Historic vehicle • A vehicle which has some historical significance in that it, or similar examples, are recognised as being a part of motoring history (locally or otherwise), or a vehicle which is an early (low production no.) or last (end of production) example of a particular marque or model. A vehicle that is less than 25 years old can be assessed as a ‘unique’ or ‘historic’ vehicle by presenting the vehicle to the Council of Motoring Clubs Technical Committee (CMCTC) for assessment and approval There are conditions, but the "get out" clause is road testing Vehicle used only relating to club events or for road test. ‘Veteran’, ‘Post Vintage’, ‘Vintage’ or ‘Invitation’ or Historic’ to be affixed in the form of a sticker or number plate affixed above or below the vehicles number plate. Not to carry a load for hire or reward unless the licence is restored to full rates. Where the vehicle is used during hours of darkness it must be fitted with appropriate lighting or it will be restricted to daylight use only.
