Hollyoodland sign just out of pic#1. DTLA hidden by the smog in #2.
Thanks for sharing. Beautiful. These seem a little older. When were they take. Nice and clean without all the silliness plastered all over it.

Hello to all and best wishes for happy holidays and especially good health! Kindly, I ask for your support to understand the history of the 250 LM 5895 between the years 1966 and 1967. In particular, I am interested in knowing the color of the car at Kyalami 9h in November 1966 (whose only photo is in black and white). At Nurburgring in June 1966 it was red. In Daytona in February 1967 it was blue. https://www.racingsportscars.com/chassis/photo/5895 [250LM].html When was the car repainted? Many thanks Renato
Arnaux Meunier did a book about the 250 LM with a big part with the history of # 5895 http://www.ambook.fr/
Hi I found only this coloured pic of the '66 green Piper car, copyrigth unknown: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not seen a 250 LM chassis stamped with "275 LM" with chassis number" before. Only seen "250" with chassis number.
Thanks for the tip, nico308. Are you sure that the book you mentioned has a color photo or description of what I want to know?
no color pictures for Kyalami but I will ask him he have more archive about the LM than of course are published ,he explain that the car was repainted blue for the 1967 season so guessing that it was red at Kyalami . There is a site with pictures for the Kyalami races that I found one day with color pictures of the belgian Ferrari's try to find it back .
Dear Renato, I don't have color picture but I think 5895 was red at Kyalami 1966. 5895 was red in 1966 at Spa in may or at Nürburgring in june or Martini International at Silverstone in July. 5895 was blue at Daytona in february 1967. Note the body under the headlight bubble was white at this time and later. At Kyalami in november 1966, body under the headlight bubble was in the same color of the whole body. From Nürburgring 1966 to Kyalami 1966, a small aeroscreen was added just in front of the pilot. It was remouved for Daytona 1967. So that doesn't prove anything, but the disappearance of the small aeroscreen could/should be made at the time of the new blue paint ? Between Kyalami 1966 and Daytona 1967 ? I hope it can help. Best regards, Arnaud Meunier PS : sorry for the copyright of the photos...I found them on internet Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very useful news! Thanks a lot. About the site, I know it and it is very interesting, but the photos of that 250 LM are in B / W. However, unfortunately, the site disconnects all the time so it is difficult for me to do research
Arnaud, thank you very much! I agree with the reasoning about color of the car, starting from the color of the body under the headlight bubble. Instead I did not understand what that little gray trapezoid, that appears in all the photos in the top center of the number on the nose, is.
it is a third air intake added during 1966 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
