Charles will just play his new piano flat out and the virus will melt away... hopefully. He has tons of time to shake it off, all good.
These guys are athletes. They will be back on their feet in no time. Cue Mo Salah, Cristiano Ronaldo..
Joe - it's been mentioned before, but a huge thank you for your updates and pictures - I'm sure I speak on behalf of the whole forum who are in awe of what a splendid job you do - bring on the 2021 season !!! Thank you Sir. Best, Sammy
He really seems handy with his new piano: chapeau https://www.instagram.com/stories/charles_leclerc/2491509529882771666/
Hope he is all right, zero news from him for days, we need him fit and raring to go this week in Fiorano for the tests...
Let's hope so. Really looking forward to him and Carlos racing for SF next year. Mind you it's that time of year when I become ridiculously hopeful about our chances.....
Competing both in F1 and the endurance championship, that's what drivers used to do years ago. Now it's hardly possible due to the full calendar in both series, but the occasional drive is still possible (like Hulkenberg did, winning Le Mans). But there is also the issue of contracts that often forbid F1 drivers to compete in other series.
And then some driver got hurt in one series that ruined a different teams' chances in the championship they were seeking....... Then the contracts were switched so that could not happen unless "certain stipulations" were upheld.
I used to follow Pedro Rodriguez many years ago. He finished contracted to BRM in F1, and to Porsche-JWAE in endurance and ran their full calendars. With their approval he also "freelanced" in CanAm or the Interserie in his "spare time". Pedro used to say that a weekend without racing was a weekend wasted ! You don't see that nowadays.
He's WDC material......he just doesn't have the car to contend with Lewis. He does his talking on the track given the car he's provided with. I honestly don't know how long he can take the Ferrari culture.
Why do you say this? Any rumors? I think perhaps he’s well equipped to deal with the Ferrari culture and that’s why he’s been able to work very well in it.
What?! The guy is junior karting world champion, F3 champion, GP2 world champion as rookie....What are your parameters to define someone who is "WDC material"?!?!
