See this is what has happened in Sicktoria, all the nasty germs are circulating in the atmosphere and are landing on Rob's place, voiding what memory and consciousness he used to have.....
Did he ever have any? He obviously forgets he’s fed his dog and feeds it again, and again, and again. Silly signature here to annoy KIAI
Mate there are so many red herrings in there you could have a smorgasbord... I’ll just start with the first one: “Tesla produces half of the world’s electric vehicles if you exclude China” - true but the EV share in theUS is 0.5% of the market, whereas the China EV share is 4.5% so he’s making a market projection based on the minnow producer... Just follow the money - BP and Shell are moving to renewables. End of story.
err if you are referring to dividends paid out ,we are in the middle of crisis world wide thus income profit has been slashed ...you need to stop with the illogical comments with NO follow up proof .
Many times the people who write these articles have some agenda. A few points to consider: Boiler type power plants have peak demand during the day, and much spare capacity at night. Enough spare capacity to charge up EVs at night. EV components such as batteries and motors can be repaired/recycled. There would need to be mining to build out the infrastructure, but after that components can be recycled. Many EVs in China still use Lead batteries, which are easily recycled with the low melting point. Tesla batteries are being used as battery storage for individual houses, with little modification. There may be no need for some houses to be hooked up to the electrical grid in the future. Solar PV Panels work. They don't kill birds. They don't pollute. There are no "rare earths" involved in their manufacture. PV prices have dropped exponentially over the years, and continue to do so. Installed capacity has also increased exponentially, with a doubling approximately every 2 years. PV could provide all of the world's electricity in the very near future.
There is such a thing now: Commercial airlines use around 8 million barrels/day, vs. a total consumption of 100 million barrels/day. The vast majority of oil consumption is from cars and light trucks.
Fun toys nonetheless! What some manufacturers are looking at is hydrogen. Storage tank - fuel cell - electric motor. This will give the aircraft the needed range + quick refueling. https://www.airbus.com/newsroom/stories/hydrogen-aviation-understanding-challenges-to-widespread-adoption.html Cue the Hindenburg video:
Never happen in my lifetime... IMO most airlines will go bust by the end of this year....This virus will set the industry back 50 years....
Every airline apart from pure freight airliners are being propped up by the taxpayers loosing billions per month PP.. If things don’t change this year there will be a lot more Ansett’s and TWA’s/ PanAm’s....
So what Nation or Continent will Biden /Harris declare war or invade ....I guess lefties and the flogs who follow or vote them in enjoy war.
IMO no matter what happens the “flag carriers” will survive. And I’m just referring to international airlines. On the domestic front, I think they’ll fill their boots from the second half of this year onwards.
