F8 Order Status

I love the Euro version, no DOT side markers. Since we can't have that here, I am painting the sides markers the same color as the body. I didn't want any exterior CF. So I am also painting front lip, bumper, side skirts and rear diffuser Nero.

 

I found it easier to just get a Nero car.

My car is Bianco Italia. I don't want to have another black car ever again. They look great and menacing but the color demands a lot of attention and is too hard to maintain. I am a freak psychopath of perfection and it just takes years out of my life. That is why all my other cars are white.

 

Yeah, just have a bunch of little rock chips in the front that need to be taken care of fist.

 

Rob , this next one ( F8 ) will be my 4th black Fcar spider. As you said PPF and she’s easy to maintain even using a California Car Duster. Black is the new red. Best , Kirk.

We dont have the side markers either. But at least in the F8 they are on the lip of the guards and not in the middle. I have never seen them painted rather been smoked.

Well i wont argue on the carbon as i don't like it for certain reasons. Painted black , GLOSS ? certainly is better but you do realise you need to cover it with the PPF.

Didnt Ferrari have that option or was it only in Tailor Made ?

 

Wait and see. Not black, not smoked, body color... and yes, they will be protected with film.

Just arrived. Winter can end now.

 

I just ordered my first Ferrari (F8). Usually not patient enough to wait for a car but still love my EVO so its now a done deal. I am curious, how are you finding out the status of your orders and getting photos sent etc? Does this come from Ferrari to you or is your dealer sending them or is it just some magic that I am not up to speed on yet?

 

Ferrari .com there is the garage. Register and start an account. The photos come from Ferrari. The status updates came from the dealer.

Yes. I find the paint really highlights the heavily sculpted bodywork, particularly the front end.

 

Completely agree - Ferrari always had a GTS Spider knocking around the design centre, which looked spectacular. Congrats!!!
