The black horse motors car is my old car. Bought for $60 and sold for $60. That car was way to nice to have sold. Can’t believe it is now $24k more....

That GTS F1 was extremely nice. Should have kept it. Very well sorted. Someone wanting a nice car needs to buy it. When I bought it, only two owners and second was long term. 12-13 years I believe. I owned for a year and then sold to local guy in Texas too. 4 owners now, but me and the other guy are small budget Ferrari owners :). Any hiccup in life and we have to be prudent

I may buy and sell a 355 in the future, but not my market identity though.

impact of full repaint on cars has always fascinated me...if its a restoration, id add value to some cars. if its a repaint, watch out!

    what's the difference?

I'm not buying this 355 because some ****** keyed it and it required a full repaint...but look! I'm restoring this PF!

I think apples to apples most people would rather have an original paint car parked next to a fresh repaint as the repaint on a relatively modern "low mile" car raises questions.

That said, they didn't even repaint it properly...they missed some black accents. Just resprayed the whole thing. Easy fix, but doesn't send the right message that it was done properly by someone who knows Ferrari's let alone 355s.

OK.... A restoration paint job is in no way related to a "respray" That's the issue with respray/paints in general, its usually not done right and often to cover issues. Produce a 25K restoration paint job bill with the car sale and that one thing but most resprays there is no evidence or documentation of what exactly was painted and how. As a result resprayed cars tend to make one cautious.

If I'm ever repainting a car for cosmetic reasons I always take photos before -> during -> after for that reason.

I'm sure we're all afraid of a "maaco" paint job, but I highly doubt any ones doing a poor quality paint job on these

the real reason a paint job throws up red flags is, It brings up the question if the car's ever been wrecked. If you can document the reason why then I don't think it's ever a factor.

In all reality, every single 355gtb I have seen has either had buttress cracks or has had the hips repainted to fix the buttress cracks.

In summary, I not only don't mind if a bumper's been reshot to fix all the rock chips or the rehips have been sprayed to fix the cracks... I would prefer it

We all agree. When doors are painted for cosmetic reasons it's another story. Pictures in the shop before and after the painting is key. If it really is just cosmetic and owner is meticulous.

I lost out on an identical car but in Rosso Maranello. Was $175k USD though...1 owner 20k km with full documentation and records. It sold quick. And it didn't have the factory cage.

Hope to have a Blue Le Mans on Tan with Carbon seats and full documentation / records and major just performed within the next month or so. But it's an airbag 5.2 car. Beggars can't be choosers right now :)

Wish you the best of luck! I wouldn’t worry too much about factory roll bar. Cars equipped with those are absolute unicorns. For the longest time, most thought Ferrari never produced a roll bar for the 355.

The roll bar is cool but I don't really care for it.

If I get this LMB one, I will take it to the grave unless I can find a better one to replace it with.
