There are 3 bolts missing on your rear wheel.
The word "scoop" is probably a misnomer but you're right in that the aesthetical aspect gives them the appearance of being a scoop. In truth they are just inlets and in the case of the right side being plumbed into the induction there is an obvious pressure differential but, as pointed out, there is also a pressure differential for the left side to oil cooler when the car is in motion as there is a low pressure area above the engine deck that is translated to the engine bay through the grills. So that side functions too and in regards to efficiency it would be more about them not creating additional drag rather than trying to "scoop" air in. Whatever, they sure look cool as hell.
To the OP, I have an OEM set of 14" Ferrari rims...you should advise the owner to correct the quarter panel mods, procure the stock FRP scoops that are missing, and fit the OEM 14" rims, or the far more expensive, later 16" rims (optional since 1977)..... That would restore the value of the car, which "as it sits" presents very poorly, despite that lovely paint job. Great color...
Nice wheels would be nice. But look inside the cut-open "scoops" at the bits and pieces inside, and the mismatched doors to the stated year of car, there's another story besides wheels here...
Who knows? I 've never sold any! I have like 6 Cromos and a set of five Campys...have the 16"s too. I run after market 3 piece 16"s on the car...but with climbing values should have a set of 14"s ready, to show. A 1979 would be correct with either size really, should match the dash sticker, if still present. I guess "fixing the door locks" could go on the list....
No. Not that I recall. CHEAP-Assed chicken wire, painted black and just pop-rivited in. Pretty crappy 'fix' IMNSHO. I found a pair once and the joker wanted €600 for a pair. I made a pair for grins and giggles for about €3, and they look much better than the originals.
