um, this was supposed to be easy. Mechanicals issue has been solved (minus one part) We just need someone to produce them. If nobody is interested they can rot on my shelf for another decade.

The shells are the easy part :).

Upholstery is not my specialty, but the little I do know, to reverse engineer it, one would have to take the seat cover apart and unstitch it to get the patterns to exact spec. The foam support needs to also be replicated exactly somehow. These measures will help ensure a tight fit. If the job starts looking baggy, loose, wrinkly, it's a no-go for me.

If Jeff Segal (Modificata) is willing to divulge the source he uses for upholstery, we might run into some luck if the shop still has the foam and fabric patterns. If not, we'll have to look for a seat to take apart. I'm going to have to send him a message and see what he says.

I’d much rather prefer these seats in the 355 to be honest. Especially if F40 just bolt right up.

Superb find! I will contact them to see if they have the foam patterns. I doubt it, but we’ll see.

Update: Jeff’s source no go. Said he used a local shop in Miami, but looking to get the work redone by someone else.

I’m still waiting for a response from O’ Rourke.

As far as I know, yes.

The 360 though I'm pretty sure was available in multiple sizes.

My understanding in F40 was S-M-L. I would assume that applied to 355 as well. I remember seeing a set on here for sale before described as large. That is “wiki” knowledge based statement and not one of direct fact

Has anyone tried fitting OEM sports seats on Spider?
I read that OEM sports seats were not offered on Spider and looking at the parts diagram, I can see why so.
The back harness is fixed to the seat itself (Spider) because room needs to be cleared when top is down.

Love to hear your thoughts on how complicated process would be (mounting OEM sports seats to Spider).

I don’t know much about Spiders, but there is one more issue. Arent Spider seats electric? Gtb/s are not. Something about when you close the softtop, your seats move forward a bit to clear? Probably a smaller issue, but something to look into.

Yes they are electronic and yes softtop system moves them as part of opening/closing roof process.
I am thinking if sports seats can be mounted on the existing rail so seats can still move after installation, retaining as much originality.

    Thanks,
