Hi guys Found this little video which features George Bamfords 275GTB. The video is also about his watch business but nice to see a 275 that is used daily. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9-9EFeZFCs /Niklas
Originally Rosso Cina with Black interior; sold new to Mr R Harris. Worth merging thread with this one? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-vintage-driving-machines/476633-spotted-275-a.html .
Sorry to disagree. Factory documents state original exterior color Rosso CHIARO 20-R-190 (not Cina), Connolly VM 8500 leather interior, full leather seats, light gray headliner and gray carpets. Marcel Massini
Correct - Chiaro recorded (incorrectly) as Cina on loads of records from the 1960s in the UK. Written down with the same colour code though of course. -Ed
Petrolicious Article. Marcel Massini pointed out above that the factory documents state the original colour of 08071 was Rosso Chiaro, yet George Bamford states that he had it resprayed to its original colour from Tangerine Orange. "It’s been resprayed to its original color, 90 percent black with 10 percent Rosso. In certain lights you’ll see a bit of the red shine through. Really special."
Perhaps, like with the watches, he seeks to update a classic. Photos of 08071 in tangerine orange would be interesting
I think they realised the mistake as you can hear the words Long Nose after and they show the long nose front end. Perhaps they should have just edited that out. Is this really chassis #08071, which Marcel Massini has stated that the factory documents state was originally Rosso Chiaro with full leather seats? George seems to think the original colour of his car was as he has had it painted in the black with a hint of red colour.
