I'm a big fan of contrasting body / roof colors, others disagree. I have a Rosso Corsa 458 Spider with a wrapped gray roof and love it. I have two neighbors with white 458 Spiders and black roof and they look amazing. I'm not sure if they are factory painted or wrapped, but it's a good look. We just put in an order for a Portofino M for my wife in Rosso Portofino with Black roof and it just looks fantastic (in the renderings, hoping for six month delivery). Rob

Looks savage check out the car guys. They have a 458 in triple layer white and the black roof and carbon skirts
It's highly uncommon to see Spider's with the black roof, I've seen a couple other on the internet aside from @c8spidey's car even after a very extensive Google search. Personally, I prefer it on the coupe whereas I think it hides the details and overall shape of the buttresses on the Spider. However, taste is highly subjective and if you like it, go for it! It's your car, enjoy it!
I think it looks great with the top up. But with the top down it looks out of place a little. Debating on wrapping my so I can easily room it if I don't like it.
