Already used by Ferrari for the 365 GTB/4 race car, so I guess that wouldn't be an issue (similarly to AM and Lambo both using Superleggera). At the end of the day, It's just an italian word used to identify a comp car or, in the broader sense, a race. https://www.ferrari.com/en-BS/auto/365-gtb4-competizione
I think one thing leading many people to believe it will be called the 812 Imola is due to the suspected unveiling date(s) and its correspondence to the time of the Imola F1 GP next weekend, and it does sound pretty cool
One more interesting find is this post on instagram. Only post using the hashtag #812imola on the site and coming from an owner/buyer for a large Ferrari dealing motor sales company in the UK, that obviously deals with a lot of top Ferrari customers. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Indeed. And they did say "we are taking you to a special place". Knowing travelling restrictions, a special place in Italy would be convenient. And Imola's name is "Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari"... quite fitting in my opinion.
Welcome to the 812 Imola! Ferrari still is a surprise with new models names. Very strange as there already is the Pagani Imola on the market now. Horacio usually tells that Ferrari are not a contender, but it's really unusual. Ciao
That's a ultra-small series inside a low volume model inside a confidential manufacturer*... not a problem at all IMO *When compared to the worldwide notoriety of Ferrari - In the car world Pagani is famous
I seriously doubt the car will be named "Imola'' because of Pagany has recently used it. Everyone thinks what they want, but personally a registered website name is not tangible proof. Ferrari is good at finding names no one would have thought of. All we know is: wait and see
