I had my 2010 458 tuned today. I have driven the car for approximately 12,000 miles , total miles on car 24,000. I’m not a numbers guy because I drive by feel. This car feels like a 458 on steroids. torgue curve more balanced drawing power sooner. Definitely more power. Exhaust note enhanced, shifts are quicker . So if anyone is thinking about getting their 458 tuned DO IT. It is like a bought a new 458.
What tune did you go with? Any mods to the exhaust? Since you have a 2010 did you have the pops and burbles already and it got pronounced with the tune? Ed Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
The tune was done by Frank Smith, Crofton MD. He writes his own tune many years in tuning business and has multiple 458. I have Capristo exhaust on the car, I hear a slight difference, the pops and burbles are still there, not over the top though. He has that code can add as much or as little that you desire. I’m fortunate to own another 458 a 2012 spider, when I got home jumped in and drove that, not tuned, it was like a was pulling an anchor. Two totally different cars. Needless to say it is getting tuned this week
Ive been hesitant to do mine since I still maintain the stock "burble tune" on the 2010. But with the straight pipe, headers and exhaust, it probably needs it. Does anyone really care about this 2010 tune anymore?
