    Hi all,

I've had my car for just over a year now and am trying to piece together where it was sold new and if anyone knows any history for it.

    ZFFKA36B000085779

On Red-Headed, this is what shows:

    Digit(s) Category Code Description
Digit 1-3 Make ZFF World Manufacturer Identifier: Italy, Ferrari, Ferrari
    Digit 4 Engine K
    Engine type F119D(L)
    Related models 348 tb/s, Mondial t (Cabr)
    Remarks Euro version
Digit 5 Safety System A 3-point inertia belts with auto retractors for front
    Digit 6-7 Model 36 348 ts
    Digit 8 Market B Left-Hand Drive, Europe
Digit 9 Check Digit 0 The check digit is correct: "0" for markets which do not use a check digit.
Digit 10 Model Year 0 The model year is correct: "0" for markets which do not use the model year.
    Digit 11 Plant 0 Maranello
Digit 12-17 Serial number 085779. The given number fits in the known ranges for this specific model.

All it says, is LHD, Europe model, no country etc.
I only have history since 2017 but I do know it was converted to RHD in 2002 in Australia (approx) and that it was in Japan at some point as there is a service sticker on the underside of the targa roof.

If anyone knows anything, that would be amazing.
    Cheers

Although Japan is a RHD country, LHD Ferrari models are exported to Japan. Not sure about the 348, though. It may have spent the entire first part of its life there.

There may have been a clue in the components/wiring fitted to the car, but since it has had a conversion, some of those components may have been changed.

e.g. the front fog lamp has some pretty specific country part numbers, but that could have been removed/disabled on your car.

It would definitely have been LHD in Japan as it's not road legal in Australia if it was LHD, hence converted on arrival but I have no paperwork to support this either. Just what I was told by the selling dealer at the time.

I forgot to mention, cluster is in KMs with no MPH overlay.

I'll go have a look at the fog lights when I can, not 100% sure what I'm looking at but will check. Cheers

Bear in mind the targa top may not be original to the car, unlikely, but still a possibility.

    Don't know if this helps....
Is there no easy way to find out where a car was originally sold?
