I don't know what these terms mean: reverse cowgirl,is that a girl whom makes a horse gallop backwards? Ganged?? ....what does a fishing setup have to do with your statement?
I have. They're not great. I had lots of fun in mine though. Over 300hp. Roller rockers. Solid lifters. Lots of great gear. Handling and brakes very average.
Yes, back in 1993 I was considering buying one of the ex Malboro "promo" road car A9X hatches for 18.5K but decided to get the VC HDT instead 'cause it drove better and was cheaper. Also had several drives of Trevor Mc road registered A9X hatch ( the ex Alan Grice / Craven Mild 1978 Bathurst car ) before he sold it in 2004.
did you like driving 'em? Ian Tate always spoke highly of them as did John Shepherd , best handling and breaking car of there type in the period . I reckon they would be a fab thing on the track..380bhp ten inch rims and slicks .
I only drove them on the road (both road cars), didn't get to push them because they weren't my cars. I remember thinking the steering was pretty heavy and the brakes only so so, but that could have been due to the condition of those particular cars. I reckon they still look great, along with the Falcon GT coupes.
And look what just popped up for sale. https://www.australianmusclecarsales.com.au/cars/1978-lx-ss-a9x-torana-janson-perkins-groupc-race-car-244426 Image Unavailable, Please Login

I stopped watching when he put on driving gloves to drive the toaster. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
