Well, Verstappen is more than a challenge to Hamilton this year. I think he can win the title this season. I don't follow you regarding Vettel though, whom I have found very disappointing during his last 3 years at Ferrari.
Thank you, I completely forgot about him, to bad he retired, we may have seen very different outcomes over the last several years. Thank you
True, but I'm just taking in his overall performance over the season. I'm just impressed how quickly he got to grips with the car, the team, everything. I think he and Leclerc have a good working relationship, which is always a very good start.
Yesterday in his blog, Leo Turrini announced that Charles had expressly formulated to the Ferrari management his desire to extend with the Scuderia until 2026. Your thoughts ?
Well the only one taking any risks would be Charles, team can always rip the contract if they so desire (albeit compensation). I don't think Ferrari has any desire to part ways with their young talented 1st driver. Who would Ferrari even go for at the moment if not Charles? Leclerc seems to have Alesi levels of affection for the scuderia, almost foolish amount of loyalty. He wants the WDC in red and nothing but the red. So not surprising Charles is willing to commit the peak years of his career to Ferrari. Also interesting was the information that Red Bull had approached him in the Spring, but Leclerc turned them down.
I have faith in Charles, I also feel his dynamic with Carlos is a net positive. They seem to have a healthy respect for each other.

Leclerc robbed of a $300K watch in Italy. I'm guessing all these watches have a serial number so resale might be difficult. https://www.planetf1.com/news/charles-leclerc-robbed-300k-watch/
Long term contracts (3 years and above) are wrong from a driver's point of view. Two years contract should be the maximum. A driver should look after his career first of all, and be able to seize a better opportunity if one presents itself. What's the point of signing a long term contract with a team not knowing its fortune in 3 or 4 years time ? For example, I'm sure Ricciardo was glad he only had a 2 years' contract at Renault.
Stolen items always have a value on the parallel market. Think about all the stolen works of art that end up in private collections ...
There is no point having blind faith in any team by making a long commitment, IMO. As for Ferrari, they have ups and downs, and some drivers who did stay too long paid the price. I hope Leclerc won't be one of them.
I like Chuck a lot , he drives extensively well , has poise and confidence . I don’t Sainz giving him serious trouble through the season or ever even though he has improved a lot and Ferrari has a solid team . Sainz will be leclerc’s butler , solid #2 , might win the odd race but I can never see him be a WDC. Only annoying part of Charles personality is he constantly puts himself down and beats himself up ., stop it , you are the real deal and nobody is perfect . Too early to call it but given the performance of both Ferrari and Leclerc , barring disaster , it is his championship to lose and I hope he wins it
