How fabulous. I hope it can be kept in the family forever, being passed on to each new custodian. That legacy can never be bought or replaced with money.

Others will know better than me, but would a dehumidifier car cocoon keep it rust free? An unrestored original is a rare beast and that would be an absolute priority moving forward.
I was lucky to drive a Dino, 308Gtb vitro and 365 boxer when about 20, 40 years ago!, Dinos were AUD $15k for ages, bought a race car and others instead..oh well, I’ve had fun. Congrats and never sell it please!!

Sorry for your loss. Dad left you a fantastic Dino. Remember to save whatever original parts you replace.

Thanks Hugo. I've sent him an email. Dinoparts in Denmark recommended these. What do you think?

That's the MSD ignition in disguise and by the way Dinoparts works out of Germany. Very good ignition based on my experience. I'm running MSD on my early 246 GT and my 512 BBi. I have opted to run the fully programmable version in both cars to exclude the mechanical advance system. Have a look here for Dino inspiration:

Never had any ignition related issues after converting to MSD. Dinoparts also have the fully programmable unit but you will also have to also buy a new distributor to cancel the old mechanical advance system unless you can get your own distributor converted.

    Best, Peter
