At Silverstone, Max should've done a better job looking at where he was going (and adequately clearing who was next to him).

Everyone who races even us amateur club racers know "it is the responsibility of overtaking driver to so so safely." LH was never going to make that corner and Albon in the disallowed information proved it. Some counter MV was 1.5 KPH faster than his qaly time there with full fuel load and would not have made the corner either but I call BS on that because there was plenty of runoff room to make the corner and the charging LH gives MV a pass on track limits. But your comment has been discussed fully in another thread.

    Agree to disagree.

Lewis DID make the corner. So I'm surmising it's your view that LH's slight contact to Max's right-rear wheel/tire slowed him (LH) down just enough to make the corner.

Perfect timing to say this AFTER Lewis regains the lead. This excuse is long in the tooth. You can do better.

Even though the physics of the impact between Lewis and Max increased Lewis' velocity !!

Lewis didn't make the corner. He ran wide with all 4 wheels over the white line at corner exit.

He would've made if it he took the extra 2 meters on the inside, though.

Yes. When you are on the edge contact can most definately bring you back. I can't tell you how many times I have been used as "brakes" even in amateur non-contact racing. Every weekend we race at least 1 car does not go home as pretty as it arrived. The reason is 95% of the time clearer heads did not prevail. Pro's take it to whole other level.

Any racer who know LH screwed up. He missed the apex by a mile. Even the GOAT can get target fixated and make a mistake.

Most of these threads about Hamilton are started to criticise using the most ridiculous pretext.

This forum has drifted from being a place to discuss F1, and exchange about racing, into a Hamilton bashing platform.

Some participants talk about nothing else, but Hamilton, always negatively.

I presume the stewards considered that Verstappen punished himself enough that they didn't need to add to it !

The penalty inflicted to Hamilton was in proportion to his share of responsability in the Silverstone incident.

Penalty is applied without respect to consequence per the FIA and all Team agreement. If Horner and the Max collective dont like it.....TOO BAD. They signed this as all teams did. Max was not completely to blame but did share some per the ruling. So 51% for LH and the rest for Max. It takes 2. That appears to escape many here. Call the FIA and the TEAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hamilton only third? let's disqualify the 2nd place driver to move him up...
Apparently with all his money Lawrence Stroll is still not such a heavy weight in F1 politics.

HAM is a good driver who is also lucky, I'll say he's both. He seems to have way BETTER luck than his team mates in the Mercedes, fewer mechanicals to point of record setting consecutive points finishes (pretty sure about that anyway.) Like the season he lost to Rosberg, the one engine failure he had was just such a shocker to him, but stuff happens.

Jim Clark always seems to have much better mechanical luck than any of his teammates.
