    A friend needs to smog his Ferrari 550M and has had difficulty finding a smog station who can help identify the problem with passing smog test and a path to the fix. Do you have a recommendation for such a smog shop? Car is located in Monterey. Any pointers appreciated. Steve Allen (SSA)

    I've only had my 458 smogged at Pacific Smog on Del Monte Blvd in Seaside. For this most recent test, I was in and out in about 5 minutes. No appointments, only walk-ins. But I can't vouch for what they do if there's a fail.

    Pacific Smog is the place I go to, always in and out quickly, but I do not think they have mechanics. Has your friend tried John Bajoli's Ferrari shop ?

    Is the issue a test readiness problem or bad O2 sensor reading?
