Awesome pictures. Are rooms available or booked years out? People bring campers or sleep outside? Does it get raunchy ? Would like to go, but not alone.
Yes, again all the above. There are lots of single people, male & female. It’s safe: Kinda Marci Gras on bikes. Since there are usually 500,000 to a million bikes/people there are lots of RV & camp sites. You can get a hotel room, but book early. The rule is normally in January of the year you want to go. But, I’m still seeing rooms available signs. Unlike my photos & the news, the real point is to ride the beautiful countryside & sites & visit all the local towns that are also hosting everyone.
What is the average age of riders at Sturgis? I bet Harley is really aging out. I went to a BMW rally this weekend and I was shocked how old the riders were. Probably mid 60's and BMW has a much better line to feed younger riders into.
Not really. Plenty of old farts (like me), but tons of 20’s, 30’s, 40’s on up. Zoom in & look at those in my pictures. For example: Captain America-
Please! My new Harley (the one I rode), an 05 RoadKing, has 113,+++ miles on it. It ran like a champ.
Copy. I was just trying to be funny. It was a 14 day trip. 3 days up & 3 days back. 3,555 miles round trip. We did a lot of riding once there.
