Our old gal will likely never be this clean any time soon! New shoes thanks to Tire Rack and the fine folks at Boardwalk Ferrari. 17" Yokos! Should get her to 300 K miles, the good Lord willing! Image Unavailable, Please Login T
You didn't buy that Turbo 911 out of Dallas did you? Looks like one I had in 2006. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Image Unavailable, Please Login Waited a long time to find the right one, but totally worth it. Completely different experience from a Ferrari but brings the same dumb smile to my face every time I get in and drive.
I've been tempted to pick up one of these for awhile now but keep questioning whether I would enjoy it after owning several F-cars. Please share your thoughts.
Just got this about 11 days ago. Not much, the Cayman R, it's no Ferrari. But fun do drive. Only about 563 came to the USA in 2012. Fun on the tail of the dragon. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just got this 2 days ago....10 years to the day since I bought my first Ferrari (360 spider manual). 2004 Boxster S manual. Not nearly as fast as my 430 but promises to be a lot of fun. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Congrats ! I am having Porsche withdrawal and looking at 911's and Caymen's ... I definitely need another one - LOL MDS
Pick one up asap and you'll have no regrets. I've always been a huge AMG guy (still have an 01 E55, 07 C63, 19 E63S, and recently sold my 18 GTR) and the SLS has always been the sort of grail car for me. The M159 engine is nothing short of an engineering marvel, with obscene amounts of torque available at such low revs. And as much as I hate to admit it, as much as I love the V8/V12 wails from our Ferrari engines, the V8 scream from the M159 just hits a completely different pleasure center of the brain. Daily driving, it's pretty much on par with an F-car. Handling isn't as arrow-precise as a 458 but it'll take hard corners just fine with plenty of confidence and predictability. I drove my 458 around pretty much every day to work and after picking up the SLS have been driving that instead, and overall comfort and practicality are about the same (lugging groceries, gym bags, briefcases etc). Just picked up an FF though and okay yes that's a bit of an unfair advantage in the comfort and practicality department lol. Last note, the doors. Are they gimmicky? Yes. Does it feel awesome though? Double yes. No regrets, go buy one now!
i bought an sls as my first super car and I love it. It’s not as nimble as my 458 or even 360. I say you buy it for the doors and keep it for the engine sound. It is also a decent daily driver. It doesn’t attract too much attention and they are super reliable (being Mercedes components). I think i like it more than my 458 because it doesn’t attract so much attention.
Congrats, Patek! I have that car's brother. It arrived yesterday, and I'm now thinking I'll have to take it for a visit to tail of the dragon. Image Unavailable, Please Login
