Just posting as a heads up I am liquidating a large collection of vintage Penns...I need to inventory them but there's some big guns in there! Thanks in advance. Have a few smaller inshore reels too...
We had quite the evening on Friday - Gull Lake & Bar Harbor Supper Club had their annual wood boat show - John Allen hosted the “Skippers Dinner” and he did not disappoint …… Image Unavailable, Please Login
And then drinks later at Lee Anderson’s boathouse? You guys have the good life there! The rest of us get “virtual” boat shows…(Tahoe)……. of course there is that smokey forest fire thing out west……
No - the party Friday was at John Allen's "Fort Mahogany" .... Show had a good turnout - Lee had 11 boats there and John had several ( I never heard or counted ). Hopefully, they'll be a story up soon on "Woodyboater".... MDS
There will be three stories ( yesterday, today, and tomorrow ) on www.woodyboater.com regarding last weekends show at Bar Harbor on Gull Lake in MN. Check it out. MDS PS: "Torpedo" is in today's article, but they have the boat model, year, and my name wrong - oh well - LOL.
That has 100% been my experience every time I've ever been in the newspaper, local news, etc., thank for verifying it seems par for the course. LOL.
Some of you may know what this is. It has a DASA 1100cc, 155mm pump, bad boy! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Big Boat Guys: I have started loading my vintage Peen Reel collection in Ads Other Collectibles... There's dozens it will take forever to photo and price! But the #9/0, and #6/0s are up. I'm keeping a lot of Senators #4/0 and smaller. I will get my six or seven #49 Super Mariners up ASAP, and if things like the Scenic Side plate are important to you, shout out early, or send PM I have very many examples of those, as I looked for it as well. I'm also putting up the Bay Reels, the Level winds, so I guess I am squeezing the assortment both ends against the middle! Would love for some Florida (or Michagan! or NYC/New Jersey) chatters to benefit from this sale.. I just overloaded the Storage Locker, truthfully!! Thanks Alan 832 801-0670
To the Riva owners - All I can say is...wow. Absolutely stunning boats that will never go out of style. Incredible. Thanks for sharing! Still working on picking up my first Ferrari (likely an F430 + Manual conversion), but I do enjoy spending summers on Lake Washington in this: My 30" Chris Craft with Twin Volvo Pentas. You're staying there ? Looks incredible ! How's the show ? Any performance rigs ? CC's ? Post some pics of the big Skaters, MTI's, and CC's if you can ... MDS
For me the show was far far too busy. I don't like being hearded like cattle. Even Wednesday was busy and hot. Surely the real players in the many multi million dollar yachts are seeing these after the show. If I had 95mm to spend, I would not be in that crowd. I would recommend The Conrad and this restaurant. We ate every meal here picking off the menu. Excellent food. I think we will stick with the Palm Beach Boat Show. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
