The day I purchased my 1 owner F40 that sat in a living room for 11 years, but exercised monthly........and one from Monterey. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congratulations and hopefully you'll enjoy it for many more miles. We delivered a similar F40 this past week to a gentleman who's waited 8 years to get one, I drove it for an hour prior, a veritable rocketship, it will be driven often. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Whilst I realise that when you own something you can do what you like with it, but who thought that putting a sticker on the side of the wing of an F40 was going to do anything to enhance the appearance? I have never seen that done before and hope never to see it again!
Malaysia is usually black background white numbers, right? from what I see it is not the format that is used (the photo is in Spain but it is not a Spanish license plate)
Someone tells me privately that it may be a license plate from some country in Africa! the car came from there

Gorgeous! What was the reason for the 8 year wait? Was he looking for a particular one or just that hard to come by these days?
There is, I believe, documentary evidence with the car linking it to Stirling Moss. This includes letters between him and Enzo Ferrari. I read about this online only in the last few days but am unable to find it again now.
I recall an article where Moss made a big fuss about having to wait on a long list to receive his F40, where as he stated that celebrities like Eric Clapton had theirs much quicker, only to then promptly sell it not long after it arrived for a healthy profit!
Marcel, you should really blank out the private address on that document, as publishing such goes against many countries privacy laws these days inc the UK. It may well still be occupied by members of the Moss family.
Ordinarily I'd agree, but everyone knew where Stirling lived. You can literally type 'Stirling Moss Address' into Google and it'll bring back 44-46 Shepherd Street. There have been a good number of articles on the house.
