Anyone find it odd that black lugnuts from Ferrari cost 3k. However most of their watches are in the $125.00 to $300.00 price range?

Agree, that isn‘t smart branding and marketing. They tried with Girard Perregaux and Panerai, didn‘t work.

There has always been also a premium brand which makes Ferrari watches. Currently it is Richard Mille. Previously it was Hublot. It started with Girard Perregaux then Panerai.

The $150 fashion watches are marketed to a different category of tifosi than car owners.

(There is a whole section on FChat for watches and related stuff btw.)

    Question for all....
I have just started to look for someone to help on this, so I thought posting my request here might be a good place to start. Is there anyone who has the background, knowledge & expertise who could and would be able to write an article or a couple of articles on official Ferrari watches for our magazine? Histories, manufacturers, production, rarity, values, etc., etc. Our magazine is AutoMobilia. I am the Editor, and cofounder.

Hmmm. Now this thread shows no views, no replies, and no last message listed. Just wondering what has happened here?

Don’t forget the Cartier Ferrari watches. Very dated now.

I made the mistake of letting my girlfriend wear my Girard Perregaux Ferrari watch one time, she refuses to give it back. :)
I've been searching for a Panerai FER00034 or a FER00028 for over 10 years now, may end up settling for a FER00010 to tie me over.

F license is not the best move for watch manufacturers.

The Panerai Ferrari watches were nice. Basic ETA movement nothing special but over all well made and styled. Hublot had a cool Ferrari model. I agree the Ferrari watches we see now are junk.

I have the GP 330/p4. I don't wear it as much as other pieces I have but in my opinion it's a solid watch. I have been looking at the Panerai but have not found one that I like enough to wear regularly. I don't like that Ferrari has licensed inexpensive quartz watches with their brand. In my opinion anything branded with the Ferrari logo should be of a higher quality then the average lower end watch. The Ferrari brand should model itself similar to Rolex. Rolex may not be the best timepiece made but all of their promotional branded items are usually very high quality and represent the brand well.
I am not a branding expert, nor a watch expert. These are just my opinions.
