My AC quit working abruptly as in was working one day and nothing the next day. I hooked up my manifold gauges and they show 10 psi so basically no Freon. For those of you that have experience is there a typical location to look for a leak? Evaporator? Condenser? Line set? Etc… Does the factory put UV dye in the system when new? I suspect something like this should have a nice oil trace visible. I do have a sniffer, so are there any places of interest to sniff?
Yep, check the lines that connect to the compressor one of mine was leaking where hose and the fitting are crimped.
