    Piece of what?

The photos are horrible. The one with the alleged photog's shadow in it is alarmingly bad. The captions are at times confusing. Is this supposed to be an example of quality literature? Oh wait, their readership spends most of the day looking into a mirror so anything else they see might be mildly interesting to them... for 30 seconds.

If you look at the piece from the lens of capturing the essence of the event, it's spot on. That's definitely what Nordeman was going for.

At the end of the day, The Bridge is more a social gathering than a celebration of automotive culture. I was super excited to attend in 2018 and was let down by the presentation and lack of spotlight given to the entrants. They were more like lawn ornaments.

Completely agree that Villa d'Este is the crown jewel of automotive spectaculars!

Fair point. But I guess that is why the event doesn't interest me. It's not a celebration of racing and cars as much as its a cocktail party for the Hamptonites who are still around after Labor Day.

Michael does much better. I couldn't crap about the social butterfly aspect of the show but I do know that there's plenty of that at all high end event car events. One CAN cover both. I haven't really looked that deeply to see if there's website that shows all of the cars that were there nicely. It would need to have a profile for each car as to why it was there. We have a Fchat member and fellow Bora owner who got invited to bring his Bora to the event. It's the Bora's 50th anniversary.

One participant was surprised there was no placard to identify the car and/or the owner.

Did the "members" have name tags or an event tag?

I was told wrist bands. If you look at the photos closely - no name tags or event tags. Just a bunch of people walking around what looks like cars parked by Timothy Leary.

The Anonymous Auto Concours, otherwise known as a glorified cars & coffee ;)
There were beverages and hors d'oeuvres right?

Beverages and hors d'oveuvres after 2:00pm. Before that, if you were parched, you were on your own. Quite classy.

Nice video. Much better representation of the event than anything else I've seen.
