Is the car like 100% stock right now ?

I'm curious as to the build date of the car. You can see info as you open the door ..inside towards the front fenders.

Its 100% stock aside from an aftermarket head unit. Going to pull it out and replace with OEM after Monterey.

For single stage touch-ups (need someone skilled), these guys did an excellent job on this car and they are in OC. I've been wanting to give them a visit, but I have a few other things to sort first.

At 29k mi, which is exactly what my black car has, if you only have a few rock chips in the front, your car was babied. I hope that makes you feel better :)

Don't quote me on this, but I believe other Fchatters have mentioned here over the years.... 95 cars actually came with radio delete (leather cover) in place of the head unit. Head units/speakers were typically installed by dealers new. Not sure what they typically installed, but I believe mine had an old school Alpine that lit up green to match everything else.

It appears as though I have the same Alpine head unit. Interesting.

I think I threw mine out ages ago,but I still have the brochure for the headunit. Maybe I should've kept it for historical reference. It was junk and looked cheap to me. I also didn't know if it was something the previous owner had put in or not.

A reliable source has told me... speakers were factory installed. Alpine headunit ... dealer installed.

I didn't intend to call you out specifically....and I'm pretty sure he fits fine in a 355 as I did the times I drove it and I am more horizontally challenged than he is (but have better taste in clothing). And I have a car from the 355 era so I certainly understand the appeal of the era.

Dude looked like he’s 6-3 as well. All I’m saying is… not far-fetched he chose the Scud simply because it was bigger. Especially if its a coin toss decision. Good decision either way… but like you said yourself… “lots of nice cars out there, but buy manuals.” ;)

Yeah, very far fetched......he bought a Scuderia because he wanted a Scuderia....and he borrowed a crapload amount of money which I think is stupid.

Don't get caught up in the clickbait videos....the truth is he bought 3 cars after driving the 355 in multiple videos....and you know what he bought.

The good news is he thought he would get lots of views positively reviewing a 355.

Youtubers do it all the time....I mean the same guy cried when he drove the Diablo 6.0.....didn't exhibit anything about his real feelings.

Wish the OP the best of luck with his new 355!

Fell for his clickbait videos?? Lol.. wut?? I share them for humor obviously. I bought a 355 and a Scud years before he made any videos. He’s a lil late to the game imo and there’s really nothing he’s said I didn’t already know. But hey… I’ll let him enjoy his new toy for now. Give him a few more years and he’ll be on the hunt for a 355. If he’s lucky, they might let him trade the 550 + Scud for it ;).

Little update to the thread, had some stereo components returned to stock, changed the hood struts, made some minor refurbishments to the interior, and just got the car back from a full transmission rebuild / service with Mark Douglas Motorworks in Mission Viejo, CA. Car now drives as amazing as it looks after paint correction and ceramic coating :D

FYI the radio delete plates are very hard to find. They did a run of them a while ago and the leather is good but it isn't the same leather.
It is correct that they wouldn't have come from the factory with a radio but they did come pre-wired. Why they did this is beyond me. Do yourself a favor and turn the radio to "off" and enjoy the music.

Congratulation on the car. Great story!
