Unless I'm mistaken Kerrari, all we be certain atm is that vaccination goes some way at reducing your chances of ending up in ICU or death. It seems that you are just as likely to spread the virus as an unvaccinated person. Thats where I have mixed feeling about the vaccine passports. The reality is that vaccine passports are used as device to incentivise people to get vaccinated to relieve pressure on the medical system and lets face it, save the lives of those that are poor at understanding risk.
That’s incorrect Vaccinated individuals are less likely to transmit or get infected with Covid-19, to have symptoms if infected, to require hospitalization, and to die.
I hope you are right Greg. I truly do. There is so much conflicting information that it is very difficult to acertain what is true, so I trust you expert judgement in understanding the data regarding the transmission of Covid 19 once vaccinated. Btw, I 100% agree that you are less likely to get symptoms, require hospitalisation or die if you are vaccinated. Lets make that clear and all the prevailing data readily supports that conclusion.
And you think the Bolsheviks are going to let go of power just like that ? You need to take some history lessons.
100% aligned with the reduced symptoms and better outcomes once infected for those who have been vaccinated. That is supported by data. However, lower transmission is not supported by data. Here is a study where case rates and vaccination rates were examined for correlation across countries and US counties, and none was found: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8481107/ Increases in COVID-19 are unrelated to levels of vaccination across 68 countries and 2947 counties in the United States A vaccinated individual may technically be less infectious, but in practice this appears to be offset by the fact that they are less likely to isolate than someone who becomes very ill or hospitalized (a near dead-end for transmission).
Ah, vaccine passport rules, which depend on humans to enforce. Last week I met a colleague for lunch in a popular restaurant. I had to show my vaccine certificate to get in. He arrived 5 minutes later and wasn't asked. And btw, the certificate, that I downloaded via mygov & medicare express, would take 10 minutes to mock up with adobe.
Supermarkets in German state of Hesse can now block entry to the unvaccinated https://www.thelocal.de/20211015/supermarkets-in-german-state-of-hesse-can-now-block-entry-to-the-unvaccinated/
Look at the bright side. Even after you GMOs clot up and check out, us Purebloods will still be here to take care of those beautiful cars for ya.
Thanks. Don't think it's not appreciated. Mine's due for a service. Signature www.pless.com.au/mechanics.htm
Yes, I’m familiar with that study and agree it’s complicated Have a read of this, published only a few days ago and based on Swedish data https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamainternalmedicine/fullarticle/2785141?guestAccessKey=b1c447e0-09a7-4171-92ff-4b129431de51&utm_source=silverchair&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=article_alert-jamainternalmedicine&utm_content=olf&utm_term=101121 “These findings suggest that vaccines are associated with a reduction in the transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus within families, which likely has implications for herd immunity and pandemic control.” I’m cautious about this one as it hasn’t been peer reviewed yet but also suggests transmission rates are lower https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.09.23.21264032v1 There have been other previous studies showing a decreased viral load too https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01316-7 https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(21)00628-0/fulltext Finally, with regards to the article you linked, the author has stated that his findings were misinterpreted https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2021/10/subramanian-harvard-covid-vaccines/ He makes it clear this should be the take home message “This paper supports vaccination as an important strategy for reducing infection and transmission, along with hand-washing, mask-wearing, and physical distancing.” Anyway, always happy to debate factual information with yourself, makes a refreshing change from interacting with the trolls on here
The digital certificate that is linked to my Service NSW app has a hologram, QR code and dynamic background. I have it loaded in my Apple Wallet too, which looks different with a green background etc but has info accessible on the reverse. Can you add an Adobe mock up like that??
