I daily drive my car. But I had an issue on Friday; it flagged a manetino failure. The few threads on that issue reference sensors so it likely isn't too serious. But, it isn't any fun to drive that way so I need to get it to the mechanic to check it out. He wasn't around this weekend. Drive and have fun guys.
I did for most of it. Picked up a colleague in Albany, NY and drove to Manchester, NH, then another colleague from Baltimore to Pittsburgh. GREAT TRIP! Here’s the route: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great pics and fantastic to see your 599 out in its natural element and not under a cover. My mates and I have the same view as you these cars are meant to be driven and should be driven they just go better with each mile that clocks up and for the pilot the grin factor gets wider with each mile.
We more than doubled our 599 mileage in one year, from 14k to now over 31k. Wanted to tax any warranty problems before it's gone. Will be making some long trips again
Sweet drive. I mostly like being alone in the car for long rides and not hearing "can we stop for a minute, SLOW DOWN!, can you roll the window up, do you always have to accelerate in a tunnel, I'm too cold, I'm to hot, I have no place for my drink ... I have to .. whatever"
I love it! That sort of trip is what the 599 is made to do. I remember you posted somewhere a while back about whether or not to take the 599 on this trip, I think you definitely made the right choice!
It's days like today that I just can't bring myself to put the car away for the winter! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I recently drove my 2010 599 GTB from Houston Texas to Sebring Florida to attend the FCA 2021 Annual event. Put a total of about 2500 miles over the week. Car performed great and was comfortable drive. The car was noticed and I got quite a few comments and questions. Each way I spent the night in Pensacola Florida which is about the halfway point between Houston and Sebring.
