Just passing this along - The owner of a local maintenance shop (for exotics) in Phoenix was so kind to call me citing he has a customer who would like to sell their VERY low mileage 360, the price was $90K and is off a fresh $12K major. If this may interest you, please shoot me a PM that I will promptly pass along to the shop owner to get in touch with you.

    Thank you - PeterS

How on earth does a belt service cost $12K?!

isn't it supposed to be easy, you take the seats out and theres a panel behind the seats you lift out. you don't even need to take the engine out. . . . come on, it's a race car with good design

Exactly. Should be $2500 with parts + labor.

There was more work done outside of the belt service.

This particular owner / mechanic is pretty high-end. At his shop for the first time around 10 weeks ago, he invited me in his work area, fairly large, maybe 30K sf with at least ten lifts. Through the door, I nearly tripped over an F40 and drooled over everything else in his shop. My first thought was 'My God, there is a LOT of money in Phoenix', it was an exotic car show in one building. I met this owner and his wife when I first went there to introduce myself and asking for an ear out for a 360. Just a super nice guy. In short, he called me today to let me know about this yellow 360 to see if I was interested.

Even $2500 is steep. New clutch, fuel pumps, flux capacitor?

That's for a belt slap. The original poster said he had a major.

A major and just belts are two very different things. But yes... The belts do get done in a major.

If you need to change the tensioners, which at this point almost all 360s need done due to age add another $1000 in parts right off the bat (10-15 years I hear)
