    Something I’ve learned over the years as someone who works with highly skilled auto technicians: the good ones understand what I call the “application of force”. They rarely break stuff by applying too much, or misdirected force, nor do they leave anything too loose. Us amateurs can develop the most of the same, with patience and pausing to think about the work in front of us.
