Waiting for the seller to get back to me, we have some logistics to work out. In short, I'm ready to pop for the PPI and book a flight. Cash is lined up so on my end, I'm good to go. The seller is apparently with his daughter who had a surgery so I guess he is busy multitasking at the moment. We'll see.
Not any time soon. Is the delta price-wise roughly the same? Scenario: $80K 2002 360 F1 $110K 2002 360 Gated If you drop (say) $25K for a top-notch conversion, do you now have a car that is worth what a like year and mileage gated 360 is selling for?
My initial question is where does one find a factory 2002 gated 6 speed for $110,000.00 I see the pricing quite a bit above that figure
I just threw out a number. F1 or gated, all prices are going stupid bozo and I'm not convinced that if the economy takes a heavy dump that prices would reflect it. In short, buyers with the cash now will still be around with the same cash when things go south. Yes? No?
yes prices are quite crazy no make that insane, and what's worse is the money some vehicles brought in during the August sales in Monterey! I am stunned. And this is why I am not so sure the market will dump. There does not seem to be a slow down in pricing since there are resulting sales. For certain those with cash are always around, and they can benefit if market drops.
how about a 2006 430 spider 6 speed with 11K miles now at $255K and 2 days to go on BAT is that what is commonly called "insane"!!!
Yeah i think gated 360s are much closer to $150k now unless the they are VERY high mileage (50-60k miles and those are still $100k+)
absolutely. yellow spider sold two weeks ago for 145K. The silver one before that sold for same price.....imagine what a Rosso one would sell for...... if you find a gated 360 for 110K it needs a lot of work, has a salvage title or is a high mileage converted car IMO....Real stick cars are considerably more than 110....
it is high, but its the last model year for a stick. It's a nero car which is sought after...has the challenge wheels, etc....I can't stand the seats, but that's just me....
Not scary to me! Gated 360 Spider in Azzurro California / Crema (19k miles) Image Unavailable, Please Login
So owners seeing this are simply deciding to hold on and see where the ceiling is. I get that. Back to my question, $80K Mondial's with 65K miles soon? Nothing will surprise me in this market right now!
no doubt if one can be found at a decent price. I remember the 2006 Concorso. There were about 6 of them there A few were for sale around $60K!
Here is a thought: The economy gets really crappy Interest rates are at 6% for a home loan and gas in SF is $10.50 a gallon. Those who may have been in the market to drop (say) $175K - $300K on an exotic may just start scouting out lower-priced exotics to feed their passion and save a few bucks. i.e.: The market sees a crazy spike for 328's and 360's.
I doubt gas will hit $10.00 and for certain mortgage rates will not get even close to 6% will we each then have to pay FC $1,000.00/month for access too! This sounds like doomsday
