Hi, I bought an alu plate for the passenger footwell and did not look closely at the mounting screws before buying it thinking it was straight forward - and maybe it is.

But the four screws which are already there (so i bought four screw with crazy Ferrari tax for no reason) are placed far outside the plate diameter and the four holes in the plate.

I can see from pictures from the internet of a 2013 Cali and a 2018 Cali T that it's the same here.

So do I just drill holes?

Is it because these cars as well as mine did not have the alu plate from factory? Do the cars that have it from factor have a different backplate with the four holes for screws placed correctly for the alu plate?

Have you looked at the back of your floorplate to see if there are indications where the holes go for the aluminum plate ?

Nope, have not had the footplate off yet. The car is in the back of the garage for the winter, but will move things around when the weather gets a little better and then have a look.

On my 2016 Cali T there are 8 screws.

4 screws mounts the foot rest to the aluminum panel.
The aluminum panel has 4 screws that mounts it to the bracket.

Be very careful as behind the panel are power relays and power wiring & fuses.

Disconnect battery ground prior to working on that area.

Can't you simply lift out the panel as on my Portofino?

that is the plan, but as I wrote before, the car is in the back of the garage for the winter, but I will move things around when the weather gets a little better and then take the plate off and have a look.

When you remove the plate, see if the fuse box matches the picture in your Owner's Manual. With my car the actual fuse box is nothing like the picture in the manual,so I have no idea what each fuse and relay is for.
