So awesome! Share a pic of your 599!!
This is a recent pic taken this past Sunday of my 2010 Ferrari 599 GTB. I bought this car from the original owner 2 years ago. He added some exterior carbon fiber parts made by Ferrari when he bought car such as carbon fiber mirrors, door handles, gas tank door, Side Shields, and wheel center caps, and also a black rear truck panel Cavallino. He did give me the original parts that were replaced by the Carbon Fiber. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I planned to visit the US Air Force Museum. The place is spectacular, and HUGE. We spent an afternoon and didn't even scratch the surface. If you want to see everything, read everything, and watch all the videos, you need 2 days at least. You can board and walk through all the Air Force 1 planes from Roosevelt to the one that carried JFK's body back to Washington. There was a F-111 on display, but I didn't see Taz' name on the cockpit!
That is an early F-111A I actually flew at Mountain Home AFB while attending Fighter Weapons School. She was a Harvest Reaper aircraft that only had one radar offset capability. Later A-models had more. Had my name on several F-111Ds and F-111Fs, but never an A-model. I spent days at the NMUSAF and worked with the staff there to get the X-40A for the museum.
Only had a her a month. Epic car, always wanted a front engined Ferrari. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Naval Air Museum is closed to the public. If you have a DOD ID card or someone with you who does, you may make an appt to go see it. Otherwise, you're out of luck. I was pretty sad I couldn't get in to see it even though I have eleven years of Navy service and documentation showing retirement. "Because of Covid..." and the terroristic shooting a few years ago
That is a crying shame. Sort of the same thing for the National Nuclear Museum for a while when it was on Kirtland AFB. So they moved it off base and renamed it the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History.
So it's a beautiful crisp clear day here in the Northeast. I've developed a 10 mile loop to take the car out, warm it up but not exceed 40mph because of rock hard summer tires. Until the snow, ice, and salt come I'm going to keep driving. Someone said this years ago on this site and it cracks me up every time I think of it: "No one ever laid on their deathbed and said, I wish I hadn't driven my Ferrari so much!" The other one I love is: Not driving your Ferrari is like saying I'm not going to have sex with my girlfriend because I'm saving her for the next guy!
Have I lost my mind? Probably! Just a picture, no I'm not taking her out! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Long drive! The drive from Pensacola to Houston is one of the most boring drives around. I’ve been doing it for almost 45 years. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Yup. My dad’s plane used to be there. Check first though. The base might still be on lockdown after the terrorist attacks. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Oh but why? I was driving my car in the 40's the other day and wow was that exciting. The MPS4S might as well have been oiled up really well for all of the traction they had. Than again, it just means take it easy.
John- They work fine as long as they get warm, just not as well as when the outside temp is also warm. If wet around those cold temps, not too sticky
Fair, it had also been raining and was really damp. They are adequate for where I live in CA provided that you are willing to be very careful when temps & conditions require it.
You can't make an appointment to see it, as a veteran?! That sounds a little crazy. I was last there in 2006, and it was a really great museum. Image Unavailable, Please Login
