Does anyone have the Superformance 16x8's on the front of their 308? Trying to determine if they will or will not fit. If so, what size tire are you able to run? I'm thinking of running a stagger with 225/50/16's on the front, and 245/50/16's on the rears, with 16x8's all around.

David I think 16x8 on the front should fit without any issue. My 17x8 works great without any issue.

I ran a 16x8 on the front with the stock sized front tire (205). It fit fine, no issues.

Not intentional, it was a tire shop screw up that wasn't caught for a few weeks.

Thanks for the thoughts and experiences. I obtained a set of 16x8’s that i could not pass up. They are brand new, never mounted, with Goodyear Eagles, 225/60-16’s that are also brand new but 11 years old.

Be careful with 11 year old tires even if they have never been used. Most tire shops will not install a tire over 5 years old.

Yes I agree. Thanks. I am just going to keep them unmounted in storage until I determine what I will do with them.

Looking for a tire that I can do a nice staggered setup with.

Looking at 205/60/16 Front, 225/55/16 Rear which gives a 25.6'' Diameter tire vs the 205/55/16, 225/50/16 setup which gives a 24.9'' diameter. Tires choices are different for each staggered set.

Now I've got to go in the garage and dig out the box of Lug Bolts and clean them up.

Why would you want to increase the diameter of the tires over the stock sizes? Larger diameter tires will penalize the car's acceleration, it will introduce speedometer error, and raise the car up .35" which not only looks goofy but also raises the center of gravity which is detrimental to handling performance.

205/70/14’s, originally the 308 tire size are 25.3 “ diameter.

Interesting that an exact match in diameter would be 235/45R17 and 265/40R17.

I personally do not want to go below a 50 series tire for the quality of the ride. My HRE 505's have BFG Comp 2 225/50/16 & 245/50/16's on them and while I like them I feel that ride suffers a bit. I love the look of the 17's on Tuason's QV but won't be doing that.
Wish I had 16x7's for the front instead of the 16x8's but that's what Ive got so will try to find a nice tire set up. I'm finding some tire brands are not in stock at this time and hard to get.
