This is when you just stretch a little more and buy a Speciale. But this is good to see as an Italia owner! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I bought my one owner, well optioned 2015 with 5500 miles last March for nearly $100K less than that. At the time mine was the highest priced Italia on the market (at least that I saw.) Spending that $$ stressed the hell out of me (first time owner), but the current market has made me feel much better about it!
LOL! I've thought about that, glad that hasn't worked out so far! But I'm working hard on depreciating it by driving it every chance I get. I'm over 9K miles now and going up fast.
Let's see if that sells. I can't imagine many are willing to pay that. It's a regular 458, and I don't think the low mileage will be all that important. Can't help but wondering if it is rolled back. 2k miles? Awfully round... Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Surely a dealer with a computer could validate if it was rolled back during a PPI right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not unless they were morons and brought in in for service and got the miles recorded. Most people who roll these back dont go in for service ever. Thats why imo its better to get a car with some miles and proper service records that reflect it was in once or twice a year. Too many of these are rolled back or stoppers/emulators installed which makes it so you dont even need to turn it back. Just turn the mileage on/off at will
Agreed. Proper provenance will smoke out anyone rolling back. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
300ish miles a year…car probably sat for years. I do T like cars that sit for a long time…they usually have issues
First off I cannot believe the price they are asking for that car, I looked at it on there website its not even a super high spec'ed coupe. Frankly having a car that sat in a garage for the last 7 years and never ran to me is unpredictable. Usually whatever issues will happen with the car will appear in 5-10k miles. For me this is a sweet spot for pre-owned F cars
the asking price might be a bit high for a 2015 coupe, but not by much perhaps not too high, just too early? Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's awesome to see!!! I know the dealership very well, but never bought a car from them. I bought my '14 458 w/ 4k on the clock in March '20 for $194K!
I'm stating the obvious but prices certainly have "elevated" in the last couple years. I'm not complaining as I own a '13 Spider. Honestly, I never thought the prices on the 458 would reach these levels...at least this soon.... I've seen our local dealer selling 458's for very strong prices and they aren't around long.
I can, because now 458s are going for $100k more than Makes perfect sense to me. Think about it, it's the last NA V8 Ferrari ever, last Pininfarina designed, only Schumacher inspired layout on wheel, etc, etc!!
In the real world those things mean less than one might think. There's generally less talk about those things in the exotic car scene when it comes to the 458 compared to what there used to be. At the moment the US market is odd due to the inflation, that's a fact. Here in Europe we don't see prices go nuts like that. The 458 has gone up, but so has the 488, F8, F12, 812 and Lusso. Just look at the 911 market. Doubt many will pay thar for a pretty basic 458. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Totally agree - I bought mine in 2019 - 2014 - one-owner - Nero/Nero - contrast stitching - Daytonas etc. - pretty much every option possible except the stupid engine shut off "feature" for $215K and damn near had a heart attack writing the check (I actually rehearsed writing the check prior to heading to the dealer - I am weird ) - was not my first Ferrari purchase but my first "cash" purchase of that magnitude and was a stretch - Now I am seeing the market for 458s (mine is a Spider) and 355s and feel pretty good about things - Not that I bought the cars to make money but it is nice to see the market where it is - helps offset the maintenance costs Cheers
Low miles ? I have a 2014 with a high list 297k carbon fiber seats , carbon rear valance, full carbon interior, Bianco with black interior and white deviate stiching Full Expel and ceramic on that. 877 original miles. I drive it around my building and start regularly . Absolutely brand new and not a flaw or piece of lint on car. climate control storage. What that worth? some will say not much as it needs to be driven, others will appreciate probably the lowest mile 458 in the country.
You following the market I assume?! I don't even want to say the % hit I took on my NASDAQ stocks over the past year. We have to just bear and brave the storm and ride it out. IMHO, if the government shifts as a result of the midterms, I think '23 will be very prosperous.....
