    Not 100% sure about all the s/n but what I’m sure it that the car displayed by DK engineering is the one found by Branko and is the ex-Scaglietti spyder Ferrari Mercedes ex-Vignale spyder.
    Your pic shows the early Scaglietti spyder raced by Marzotto in 1954...

    Serial number 0404 seems to have been deleted two times and no remaining pieces can be connected to this serial number anymore.

    I wish luck to anyone who wishes to take a pick on original serial number of the rain forest car. It seems to have been restamped as 0304TF and then received serial number 0302TF on a welded tag, but it is really hard to say what it was before becoming 0304TF and if that number was the original one or not. These three sister cars (0302-0304-0306) went trough a lot of development work, testing and repairs. Looks to me that every time an engine already stamped with a different number was installed, the chassis was restamped to match. I agree with Aardy that this is not the Vittorio Marzotto/R.J. Dominguez car.

    Raul Dominguez car is the third, the lost one, of the trio 0302-0304-0306.

    I have seen several chassis numbers suggested over the years (0404MD, 0406MD, 0428M...), but all these are wrong. Dominguez car was likely built upon the remains of the Ferrari "Autodromo" Spider raced by Ascari in Monza in 1953. Ascari tried to brake but accidentally stepped on the central throttle hitting Bianca Maria Piazza's Ferrari, bouncing to the right, going off track, uphill through the wild full steam and finally flipping over. Rescue team was met by unharmed Ascari who reputedly said that until that day he did not have a boulevard to honor his name.

    Tubes don't get dented when you stamp new numbers on a tag. The big question always pops into mind: is there something underneath?

    beautiful colour!!

    Antoine who posted the picture made me visit the Carrozzeria last summer, he is really welcoming and knows perfectly the cars he’s working on ! No doubt if I ever need a restoration I’ll go to them! (In fact I need one but on a classic British car that isn’t worth half of the price of a bare metal restoration :p )
