At the end of the day, they're all just used car salesmen.

    Bingo!

Plus I prefer when people get a ppi.

It sort of lets me off the hook pressure wise.

I have them sign a form that states they are purchasing the car based on their inspectors description not mine. That usually gets met with some push back... And I tell them... Hey if this guy lies to you and tells you the car is perfect and I told you it needed x or y... Who should be held liable?

The reason you send a car for a ppi is because you don't trust my assessment of the car and want an independent look at it. I'm 100% ok with that. But... Any misrepresentations are on that shop now. I can't be held liable for their mistakes. Pick your shop and I'll get it there. But any complaints take it up with that shop. Not me. I did everything you asked and were as transparent as can be.

Which sounds like I'm being a Weasle but the last thing I want to be caught up in is a lawsuit because of another shops representation.

What was the dye issue? I didn’t really notice on the video. Do you have pictures or a thread?

Check my post history by threads started, some pics in there. Also have a video if you want to PM me.

The car was clearly left out in the sun often and it faded the semi-aniline leather. Someone dyed it blue and then the dye bleached out and now it’s a weird aqua greenish blue color in a lot of spots with some heavy staining on the doors and armrest. There is also blue dye all over the white stitching. Two different leather specialists (including the one recommended by Ferrari of Las Vegas) told me there is no possible way to fix it short of putting a whole new interior in the car.

No more anecdotal stuff for the OP, except that I hope it works out for him at the end. It always suck to be in such a "high" buying a car and then the "low" of finding out it is not what it supposed to be. Any car, any dollar amount...
