Asking a favour from any F8 owner. Can you please have a look at the cap of the brake fluid and post a picture or colour of it. Is it black or a clear white plastic cap.
Thanks mate Yep the same cap of the 488 Not a surprise as there was no need to change as it has the same brake system Well with the brake recall of the 458 / 488 / Pista either Ferrari when setting up the F8 has either set the low brake level to a lower setting ( 10% ) or if they haven’t they will do it in the next service or recall Then just to make you feel good they will put a black cap on as a replacement Keep an eye on your level of brake fluid IMO
I've followed the brake recall thread with great interest, figuring at some point the F8's would be included. I never had a problem with my 458 or 488, and I'm hoping that the same holds true for my F8.
The number of incidents that came to light were low I highly doubt that there would be a real problem but I’m sure that there will be others There just is NO fix other than check and now when the light comes on Ferrari will probably insist that you replace the units. Hopefully Ferrari will cover the cost
Th the car was basically stripped with no options. In this market it doesn’t matter, but I would imagine most buyers would want a little more going on. In a normal world.
Properly optioned cars are selling for a premium. Poorly optioned cars appropriately sell for less and sit longer, even in this market. I'll refrain from posting examples so as to not P.O. owners, sellers, and prospective buyers.
While the fluid tank is the same, I think the brake booster is different for the Pista and F8 compared to the 458 and 488 (which have clearly the same complete system). And AFAIK the Pista is not part of the recall. One can see that when looking for part numbers on the different models; the model used on the Pista and F8 comes from the 488 challenge while the model on the 458 (Italia and Spider) and 488 (GTB and Spider) is the same.
Hopefully prices start going up In the uk soon. I think I will sell my F8 in the summer. In general does anyone buy privately or only via Ferrari ? My car came from Ferrari Swindon Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Image Unavailable, Please Login I park my F8 in a spot, nobody around, no other cars in the parking lot and I come out to see this. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
"Whoops! Sorry, thought this was my horse", as you catch him trying to load your F8 into his trailer.
pisses me off to look at that. Plus the butthead is over the line in the rear. Some people just suck.
Sadly, the world is abundant with slugs, knuckle-draggers, idiots and jealous, worthless bohunks. Which is why I never leave my car unattended. That photo really tightens my jaw.
Problem being front truck parked too close or rear truck about to engulf your F8? If it's the former, relax, there's like 2 metres at least! And don't ever come to Europe, people here park bumping into each other.
No picture, but the issue was the unloading of a horse behind and the unloading of hay and tack trunks from the back of the pickup. It was fine, but it was putting confidence in some uncertain factors too close to the front and back in my opinion.
I would think the best spot would not be the middle one. Its like if Im an a garage I always park next to a support pillar and get as close as I can. this way only one car can park next to me (as the pillar is to the passenger door) and leaves me more room for whichever idiot parks next to me. Next time park in the very front spot (where the truck is parked)
Offered a 2022 black exterior / white interior with quite a bit of carbon fiber. Car also has carbon fiber wheels. Not exactly the way I’d of specked the car myself but very nice. It does carry with it a rather high sticker (388k) for a coupe. I’ve bought around 6 Ferraris in the past from this dealer. I consider the owners personal friends. Question is if I’m only keeping the car for 18 months or so until my 296 Spider comes in am I going to get hammered on resale. I know no one can predict the future but I’m trying to get a general idea in terms of what we know about the car now. If I love the car there’s a chance I’ll keep it. Thx
