I’m sure those will be sold soon. Everyone is simply waiting on the owner (in France) to remove them from his car (for better pics).
What IS going on? Crazy. What if it wasn't yellow? I guess my Cayman S will be $100000 by end of year. Check out the 355 spider on BAT. wonder where it will land. Already $100,000 with 5 days left.
The world is going even more nuts than I thought. I'm starting to see the shimmer of a bubble. Or.... There are just that many new hobbyist and enthusiast entering a world that is more limited. Actually as I'm typing this, I see the reason I came looking in the past for a car vs the future. Cars aren't satisfying anymore. They are cool for a month or two....then the emotion is gone. Driving older stuff has way more personality and engagement. My wife and I were looking for a convertible for her to drive...something new. And we were both so bored from the results.
I agree. I bought this Miata in 1992... Image Unavailable, Please Login ...and drove it 165,000 enjoyable and trouble-free miles. After I sold it in 2008, it went on to serve as a spec Miata at the track. It handled beautifully, had a great 5-speed manual transmission and a flawless short-throw shifter. I miss that car.
I've only seen two other U.S. spec GTS' with factory cf sport seats and gated manuals (not converted) other than mine. The majority are RoW or GTBs. Is there any way to determine the number of a specific color F355 that were built? I see sellers listing their findings, but they don't list the source. I am also trying to keep track of cars with sport seats and have accounted for just over 40 around the world. If you would like to add your vehicle to the list, please contact me.
I believe most simply refer to the registry which has roughly half of the 355’s. Show me the 40 cars you’ve found. I’m sure I can add to it .
I daily drove one of these for a few months once. Bulletproof. Nice and simple. A lil sketchy though, but that’s where the fun starts .
SO when are the early Miatas going to hit 6 digits? I had a 97 and then traded it for a 99 Anniversary Edition which I kept for 10 years. Might buy another.
They are still well below $60k, so you should have no problem staying in budget Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The thing I like about them, since I like touring, is that you can drive them anywhere. I remember one drive in Vermont. We saw a road that looked interesting. Turned down it and after a couple of miles it turned to dirt. Just kept driving and another 10 miles and we ended up finding a back way into Stratton Mountain Resort. You don't do that in a 355. At 6’4”, the Miata is a little tight, but I enjoy driving them. Many a track day in a Miata (Race seat wayyyyyy back). They are a great car like you mentioned. Improvement on the British tradition. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Best British sports car on the market. I know what you mean about tight. I'm 5' 11" and I still looked like this in one. The 14" wheels back then didn't help. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Anyone else think that the photos are through a filter to make it look more Rosso Corsa? It’s listed as Rosso Barchetta which to the naked eye is almost burgundy. Maybe I’m over thinking this…
You're probably right, maybe explains the accident. At first I thought it was darker than Rosso Corsa but the more I look at it, doesn't appear to be dark enough for Rosso Barchetta
@INTMD8 I’m a bit puzzled by the build date of this car. It’s a November 94 build date. A lil later than both our OCT 94 build date cars, but has some features similar to my June 94 date super early car. I see the ultra rare clutch cover, which came on my June 94 car and possibly even the single-piece middle undertray. These were only options on super early 95s. However, it doesn’t have fiberglass rear diffusers. It has plastic rear diffusers. If single-piece undertray, my guess is alot of the undertray pieces are not original to the car and was sourced from other cars. Probably had to do with the accident. Dual fuel pump car. No crinkle paint on lateral covers like my June car. Another 355 owner who installed Fabspeed headers and not happy with the drive ??
