I haven't heard a thing about the Derby yet, so there must not be a Triple Crown contender. Or maybe last year's embarrassment has everyone keeping quiet.
It's the 1st Saturday in May! If you're rooting for California horses (like me) there's 2 really good ones, of which I like Taiba. Lots of coverage this year, post-position draw was yesterday so the field's all set, I think there could be more than one Triple Crown contender.
I'll look into it. Thank you.. I'm more into trainer/Jockey and to be honest, I love the undefeated horses. I Love to have memories of "this horse is special" But my two favorite horses that I actually followed before and after the Triple Crown was Spend a Buck in the mid 80's and Easy Goer a few years Later. Now I just like watching for entertainment.
If you love undefeated horses, Taiba can be your choice as he's the undefeated horse in the field, if you're into jockeys, there's nobody riding this year with more experience than Mike Smith, who happens to be on Taiba, he's one of the best big-race jockeys of all time, also Joel Rosario, who happens to be on the other horse that I think could win, Epicenter. I saw Spend A Buck win in '85, he was one of the few to go wire-to-wire, he opened up a devastating lead and just ran away with it, brilliant riding by Codero Jr who completely stole that Derby.
Always a fun watch ! Going small on a bunch of $1 trifecta boxes , and WPS bets. I think it can come down to anyone at this point . All in fun , and good luck to all!
Should be an exciting race since no one is way ahead in odds. In my family bet I have Messier taking it but I haven’t done much research or followed it this year.
$1 Super High Five....$741,018.90 ..Ballsy for a $1 box at $180 .. but a .10 cent box might have been a good option for $18.00 ..75k!
Good luck guys. . . trying to box around the 14 horse . Really didn't even pay much attention until i woke up and saw it online . Just having fun today.
Derby favorite Forte scratched just hours before the race due to injury, yesterday his owner also lost the Oaks by just a neck, Mike Repole is not having a good weekend! Wide open race now.
A big day for Venezuela! I feel real good for Castellano. To go 15 years in the Derby and then finally win one is priceless!
