I don't think it's something that PAS plans to mass produce. I don't plan to mass produce it.

You could contact Hartmut if you are interested.

Well, except for the numbers being in the wrong location. Once that's fixed, which I assume will take them all of 5 seconds, it will be great

Thanks Chris...my clock was useless as it was. IIRC, it was fast by a couple minutes a day, so I was constantly resetting it. It is safely boxed up in the garage though.

My cigar lighter one, which I have used for the last 8 years. Stays on all the time, but super cheap and can be pulled out of the lighter socket at anytime.

Did yours come back from PAS yet?

Got the voltmeter today. It's fantastic. You need sharp eyes to tell it wasn't built by Veglia. I'll install this weekend.

Weekend? How about a preview now? You can't tell us you got it, and not supply a picture for a week!

Patience is something I'm only good at when I don't want to see/do something.

    Installed.

I put in a "Y" coming off of the circuit the radio is on, which is only powered when the ignition is on.

Yeah - this is way more useful than the clock.

Clock is tucked safely away in a drawer.

Chris - the only issue is that the font on VEGLIA is a bit too big. And - it's better lit than the factory gauges at night (brighter). Huh.....

Those two things are pretty minor in the grand scheme I think. I'm very happy.

I'm resurrecting this 7yr old thread...because I finally made some progress(actually just started today). Also, I have a few ideas that may help others who want to do something similar.

    A couple things I've learned:
    1. The earlier 308's have a slightly different "Veglia" text size from the later 80-85.
    2. The case diameter on all the Veglia 52mm gauges with the left-to-right needle sweep appear to be universal. Meaning you can pry the case ring off and swap the internals and bezels between gauges. This is true of gauges marked "Veglia Bressel" and "Veglia Borletti"
    3. All the 308 accessory gauges(the small gauges), are basically voltmeters. Meaning the gauge sees a voltage and the needle moves. They all have a single soldered resistor that can be changed to another value to "set" the position of the needle. For example: you can take a fuel gauge and change the resistor to 4kohms to make it a volt meter where 13V is applied and the needle goes to the center of the range.
    4. The cheapest(and simplest) way to make a voltmeter is to use the bezel from the clock or any other gauge(I got mine from Ferrparts), and put it on a Veglia voltmeter(see pictures)

The last picture is what I want to end up with, once I make a Mylar overlay label(it's just paper in the picture). The Veglia Bressel needle is white, but the construction is the same as our black and green needle, so you just have to pry the top of the needle housing and swap it between gauges. Don't touch the needle, they are super flimsy. Only handle the "needle assembly" as shown in first picture. Anyway, hope this explanation might help someone.

Also, thanks so much to Ken for attaching the graphics to this thread. You can see, I shamelessly stole it(and corrected the transposed 12 and 14).
